A football card checklist before you buy

Keep the base issue, parallels and different sets separate in your research.

Record five fields

Note the player, year or season, set, number and edition. Match all five fields with the catalog source. For example, Tom Brady’s Bowman and Bowman Chrome issues both use #236; the full set name identifies the difference. A matching card number alone is not enough.

Read the listing beyond its headline

Ask for readable front and back photographs. Record any serial numbering, variation name, autograph claim and condition description separately. The plain reference entry here is not a photograph or an authentication of an item offered elsewhere.

Compare issues, not promises

This preview compares card identities and notes. It does not estimate a fair price, predicted return or grading outcome. If you collect by team or player, decide your preferred set and condition before browsing offers.
